Terms of Service

Last Updated: April 28, 2026

TL;DR

We monitor third-party ad and commerce platform status pages and notify you in Slack or Teams. $10/month after a 7-day free trial. Cancel anytime from the Stripe billing portal. We're not responsible for the accuracy of third-party status feeds, and our liability is capped at fees paid in the last 12 months.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing the Ad Status Monitor Slack or Teams app, creating an account at adstatus.app, or otherwise using our services (the "Service"), you ("Customer," "you") agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and "you" refers to that entity.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Service.

2. Service Description

Ad Status Monitor is a monitoring service that polls publicly available status feeds (RSS, Atom, and Statuspage v2 JSON) from third-party advertising, commerce, and AI platforms — including Meta, Google, Microsoft, Pinterest, Amazon, Shopify, OpenAI, and Anthropic — and forwards new incidents to your designated Slack channel or Microsoft Teams channel.

We currently check feeds approximately every 5 minutes, but check intervals, monitored platforms, and notification formats may change without notice as we improve the Service.

We do not operate the third-party platforms we monitor. The data we relay originates from those platforms' own status pages.

3. Account Registration

Accounts are created automatically when you authorize the Slack or Teams integration. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of the Slack or Teams workspace that has the Service installed.
  • The accuracy of any information you provide.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.

4. Subscription, Trial & Billing

Free trial

New workspaces receive a 7-day free trial. We do not require a credit card to start the trial. Notifications are delivered during the trial period. At the end of the trial, you must subscribe to continue receiving notifications.

Pricing

Standard pricing is $10 USD per month per workspace, billed monthly via Stripe. Pricing for bundled or specialty plans is shown on the relevant pricing page at the time of purchase. We may change prices on a going-forward basis with at least 30 days' notice; existing subscribers will be notified by email or in-app message before any price change takes effect.

Payment processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store credit card numbers. Your use of Stripe is also governed by Stripe's terms.

Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel at any time from the Stripe billing portal linked in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months. If you believe you've been billed in error, email [email protected] within 30 days of the charge.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we may suspend notifications until the issue is resolved. Repeated payment failures may result in account termination.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written permission.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code, except where allowed by law.
  • Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or unlawful content.
  • Use the Service in a way that violates Slack's or Microsoft's terms of service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including by automated scraping, abusive request volume, or attempts to access accounts that are not yours.
  • Use the Service for any purpose prohibited by applicable export-control or sanctions laws.

6. Service Availability & Status Data

We aim to keep the Service running 24/7 but do not guarantee any specific uptime or notification delivery time. The Service depends on:

  • The availability and accuracy of third-party status feeds we monitor.
  • Slack, Microsoft Teams, and our hosting provider's continued operation.
  • The continued availability of Stripe for billing.

Status data is provided "as is" from the source platforms. We do not independently verify incidents, do not guarantee that every incident will be detected, and do not guarantee that detected incidents are accurate, complete, or timely. The Service is informational only and should not be the sole basis for operational, financial, or compliance decisions.

7. Termination

By you: Cancel anytime from the Stripe billing portal. To delete your account and data entirely, email [email protected].

By us: We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way we reasonably believe is harmful to us or to other users. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (payment obligations, limitations of liability, governing law, etc.) will survive.

8. Intellectual Property

We retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including our software, brand, content, and documentation. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your internal business purposes during your subscription.

Third-party platform names, logos, and trademarks (Meta, Google, Microsoft, Pinterest, Amazon, Shopify, OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) are the property of their respective owners and are used only for descriptive identification. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of those platforms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Ad Status Monitor or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or substitute service costs, arising out of or related to the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising out of course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any defects will be corrected.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ad Status Monitor and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute that cannot be resolved informally is the state or federal courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers and posted on this page at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
